Church Square. Navas de San Juan.

Navas de San Juan is a town in the Condado region, a municipality that is worth knowing for the different places and corners that tell us about its history over time.

In the Plaza de la Iglesia, where the Church of San Juan Bautista is located (a baroque, Renaissance and Mannerist style building, from the 16th century), Lumiartecnia has carried out the remodeling of the old ornamental fountain with a much more modern one, with Aquatic Ballet technology.

It is a musical fountain, Aquatic Ballet, which has a pond 8.6m in diameter. The elements that make up the source are the following:

CENTRAL VERTICAL: It is made up of a single central vertical jet formed from a 20mm Ø nozzle and a height of 12 m. This nozzle will be fed by a LI-1050 submersible solenoid valve that acts directly on the jet.

PALM TREE: It is made up of a set of 8 parabolic jets from 16mm Ø nozzles. The eight jets start from an imaginary circle of 1 meter in diameter, reach a maximum height of 3 meters, and fall onto another imaginary circle of 7 meters in diameter. The figure formed is that of a majestic palm tree that is in the center of the fountain. The set will be powered by two LI-1050 solenoid valves.

CENTRAL SPRAY: It is formed by a 2m diameter spray ring defined by 30 special nozzles, capable of generating spectacular clouds of water about 1.8m high. This large cloud of water is especially receptive to color, being where the characteristics of the Omnicolor program are displayed most clearly. This spray ring is fed by two LI-1050 solenoid valves.

8 VERTICAL JETS: It is made up of a set of 8 vertical jets defined by 16mmØ nozzles and a maximum height of 8 m, and located in a circumference of 4m in diameter. Each nozzle is fed by an LI-1045 electromagnetic valve. Thanks to the speed of the L.I. valve We can obtain very striking effects: effects of vertical displacements, breaking up the water column into small segments, formation of sine waves, as well as spectacular effects in combination with other elements of the fountain.

8 PARABOLIC JETS: It is made up of a set of 8 parabolic jets from 16mm Ø nozzles. The eight jets start from an imaginary circle of 8 meters in diameter, reach a maximum height of 6 meters, and fall on another imaginary circle of 5 meters in diameter. The figure formed is that of a set of perimeter parabolic jets directed towards the center of the fountain. Each parabolic is powered by a LI-1045 solenoid valve.

The total flow installed for the basic source is about 2650 l/min and the pumping power is 6 HP, provided by 2 submersible motor pump sets of 3 HP each.

These motor pump sets are controlled by frequency converters, pursuing two purposes: on the one hand, the fountain operates, if desired, so that the height of the jets is a function of the wind, in order not to spill water out of the pond; On the other hand, when the fountain is operating in “Musical” mode, it will be possible to recreate in the choreographies all the variations present in musical works, from a pianissimo to a fortissimo, passing through all the intermediate nuances.

LIGHTING OF WATER JETS.

The lighting of the fountain jets is carried out with colored light with high-brightness, submersible, stainless steel RGBW LED projectors. The distribution of projectors will be as follows.

  • Two 9x3W projectors will be used to illuminate the geyser.
  • The lighting of the palm tree outlet will be carried out by assigning 8 9x3W projectors, and the water fall from the palm tree will be carried out taking advantage of the projectors of the other jets.
  • The lighting of the central spray will be done by assigning 12 3x3W projectors.
  • The lighting of the verticals will be done by assigning 2 3x3W projectors to each one of them. We will therefore have a total of 16 projectors to illuminate the 8 vertical jets.
  • Finally, the lighting of the parabolic jets will be carried out by assigning 2 3x3W projectors to each of them, one at the water outlet, and another at the fall. We will therefore have a total of 16 projectors to illuminate the 8 parabolic dishes. The total number of projectors for the jets will be 10 9x3W, and 44 3x3W, with the total lighting power being 666 W.

The fountain is controlled by the advanced Controlidor computer system, which allows control of all the elements of the installation and remote control from the Internet to offer online assistance in real time.

The Controlidor software includes an interactive virtual simulation of the water and color scenes performed by the fountain. The traditional control panel based on switches and buttons can be replaced by a touch screen that in an interactive, simple and attractive way, allows comprehensive control of all the elements of the installation.

The fountain acts with predetermined movements of water and light that correspond to the music. In the mode of reproduction of choreographies specifically made for this Aquatic Ballet, the Controlidor software incorporates a player of these musical pieces that can be selected either manually or in automatic mode, creating a playlist with the chosen music.
